21st Annual Hoe Down

Texas Hold'Em Style

Yes, it is that time of year where Chino Valley would-be cowboys and cowgirls dust off their boots and straw hats for one of the hottest events of the year!  The Soroptimist International of the Chino Valley club members are busy with preparations for the 21st annual Hoe Down which will take place on Friday evening, March 14, 2008 in Brinderson Hall at the Chino Fairgrounds (corner of Central and Edison Avenues). Texas Hold'Em card playin' has been added this year, so you definitely don't want to miss this event.

This fun-for-the-entire-family tradition continues in 2008 with event favorites such as the pie/cake stomp,  opportunity drawings, roundup of town rascals and a tasty and plentiful barbeque dinner.  A no-host bar is available for those seeking a cool sarsaparilla and the rockin, stompin Joanie Francis & MP3 Band will play their great country and rock favorites. The newly added Texas Hold'Em Card Playin' is sure to keep you entertained.  And in keeping with this fine tradition, the Hoe Down event would not be complete without the popular silent auction and gorgeous handmade quilt raffle.

Tickets are now available for the Hoe down at a cost of $35 per person or $40 if purchased after March 7th.  A table of 10 for $325 is a great value to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just a great evening of good food, dancing, entertainment and fun.  It's the "be-there" event of the year!

Proceeds from the Hoe Down will benefit the multitude of charitable programs that Soroptimists promote such as Domestic Violence Awareness Education, breast cancer awareness and prevention, women's opportunity awards, high school scholarships and youth mentoring programs.  For tickets or more information, please call Karen Haughey at (909) 627-2607 or Carol Duncan at (909) 591-5040.
